- Make sure your video is in wmv format if you're using Windows Movie Maker to edit it
- Make sure to have earphones or speakers so you can hear the sound to edit and watch it
- Set aside a good amount of time to do editing
- Don't exit the Movie Maker program without making sure your video is saved
- Adding transitions can help your video move from one topic to the other smoothly
- Make sure your opening title catches your audiences attention, not only in the phrase you use but in the way it appears on the screen
- The more you film your video in sequence the easier your video will be to edit
- Once you've finished editing watch your complete video once or twice to make sure it is edited properly
